Ms. Chung's experience extends to ITC litigation involving 3M and Sanyo regarding lithium-ion battery, which involves chemical processing methods that produce lithium-ion batteries that can be repetitively recharged and maintain charge at extreme environmental conditions.
Prior to joining NSIP, Ms. Chung worked in a general practice law firm and a patent prosecution law firm in Washington D.C. area, focusing on patent prosecution, and client counseling. She has experience in drafting opinion letters, negotiating licensing agreements, preparing for inter parte reexaminations, and ITC litigations, as well as prosecuting hundreds of patent applications to allowance. In addition, she was the recipient of Morrison and Forester's 2009 pro bono award.
She is an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Asian Pacific American Bar Association and Korean American Intellectual Property Bar Association, and has served as a treasurer of the Korean American Intellectual Property Bar Association in 2012.
