We are currently seeking a patent attorney or patent agent licensed to practice before the USPTO with at least 3 years of prosecution experience. Candidates should be knowledgeable and have experience in: the drafting of new applications, responding to Office Actions, and the matters related to WIPO, EPO, and PCT applications. Associates will be expected to know how to prepare, file, and handle all matters from the USPTO.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of patent prosecution experience at a medium to large size firm. A 4-year Engineering Degree in electrical, computer, software, chemical, or biomedical is required. Other technical degrees which satisfy the USPTO requirements to sit for the USPTO bar such as Physics or Engineering degrees will be considered only if candidate has completed a masters or doctorate level program.
Please note that litigation, even with minor prosecution experience included, will not be counted toward the minimum experience requirement.
We are currently seeking a paralegal with at least 3 years of patent prosecution experience at a medium to large firm. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but extensive or equal experience may be considered.
Candidates must be familiar with the preparation and filing of a new application, handling formalities, preparing and filing Office Actions, preparing and filing Information Disclosure Statements, handling allowances, paying and filing Issue Fee payment and Maintenance Fees, and other general matters as they may arise. Familiarity and a high level of proficiency with PAIR as well as MS Office Products and PDF Products is required.
