Brian Hairston

Prior to joining NSIP Law, Mr. Hairston worked as a patent prosecution and counseling attorney for law firms in the Washington, DC area. In these positions, Mr. Hairston handled patent matters in a wide range of technologies. Mr. Hairston has significant experience in drafting new patent applications and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications. Mr. Hairston is also experienced in counseling clients regarding patent infringement and patentability matters, preparing non-infringement,invalidity, and patentability opinions in a wide variety of technology areas.

During law school, Mr. Hairston worked as a summer legal intern for Judge Randall Rader of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. After graduating law school, Mr. Hairston became a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications in the internal combustion engine art.

Mr. Hairston is not a member of the DC Bar, and is supervised by members of the DC Bar.
