Ms. Choi handles all aspects of intellectual property from advising clients in establishing a patent portfolio to preparing and obtaining both US and foreign patents in the field of electrical and computerrelated technologies.
Ms. Choi has worked extensively in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patentability, and infringement and validity opinions in a wide variety of industries for domestic and foreign clients. She has extensive experience with appeals before the US Patent and Trademark Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Ms. Choi has been involved in reissue and reexamination proceedings and has provided patent litigation support in multiple litigation cases, including product review, pre-litigation analyses, claim construction, interviewing experts, and deposition support. Furthermore, Ms. Choi has drafted and supported negotiation of license agreements, working closely with clients to learn and achieve their business objectives.
Before entering the practice of law, Ms. Choi was a lead engineer for Rockwell Automation, where she was involved in the integration of various programmable controllers and electronic operator interface applications. Ms. Choi applied a breadth of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components, including PCs, process controllers, operator interfaces, communication gateways, drives, motors, and sensors. She also designed and programmed automation processes using standard and specialized application software.
